By SU Public Relations

SALISBURY, MD---Synthopop band The Slants performs at Salisbury University 7 p.m. Tuesday, October 24, in the Patricia R. Guerrieri Academic Commons Assembly Hall.

From the studio to the Supreme Court and from prisons to anime conventions, this Asian American band has appeared at unlikely stages around the globe, sharing anthemic synthpop music with a little punk rock swagger.

Members Simon “Yong” Tam and Joe X. Jiang host this evening of discussion and song. The band delivers theatrical shows filled with songs and story, runs a nonprofit organization to empower the next generation of Asian American and Pacific Islander artists, and continues to compose music with the self-professed goal of bending the moral arc of the universe toward justice.

Sponsored by the Cultural Affairs Office, admission is free and the public is invited. For more information call 410-548-3586.

Those planning to park on campus must register in advance for a free parking pass.
