Holloway Hall Photo Places Among Top Three in Wicomico Tourism Contest
SALISBURY, MD---Leprechauns may be notorious for hiding pots of gold at the end of rainbows, but at Salisbury University, it’s what’s underneath the prism that counts.
In July, SU photographer and visual images coordinator Megan Raymond captured a post-storm photo of the campus’ oldest building, Holloway Hall, beneath a full-arc rainbow, set against an orange sky. The Wicomico County Tourism Department recently announced its selection as one of the top three submissions in its 2023 photo contest.
The competition called for area photographers to submit their best images illustrating the county’s beauty, lifestyle and assets in several categories. The picture of SU’s signature building, opened in 1925, fit two of the categories: culture and history.
Winning photos are featured on the Wicomico County Tourism website and will be included in the department’s next visitors guide.
