SU Continues Working Toward Seamless FAFSA Experience Following Recently Announced Delay
SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University’s Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships continues to work toward a seamless experience for current and future students submitting the 2024-25 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
The U.S. Department of Education (USDE) recently announced that the 2024-25 FAFSA information will not be available to higher education institutions, including SU, until mid-March.
Once SU has that data, the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships will work to provide students with their 2024-25 financial aid offers as quickly as possible. Students should check their email for a message regarding the revised timeline.
The delay comes as the USDE works to streamline the FAFSA application, implementing new processes and requirements for students and families. The update is expected to result in many students receiving additional financial aid.
SU strongly encourages those who have not yet filed the FAFSA to do so. Those who have already completed the FAFSA can read more about the post-processing experience for students on the USDE webpage, including information on what students should receive to confirm their FAFSA has been processed. No institution will be able to provide a completely accurate estimate of a student’s cost to attend until FAFSA data is available.
Potential SU students are encouraged to continue conversations with their admissions counselors, coaches and family about what school may be right for them. SU also invites any student who would like to schedule another campus visit to ask additional questions and get an even better feel for the University. Any prospective students who have questions about attending SU this fall should contact their admissions counselor.
