SU Lambda Society Hosts Vigil for Non-Violence and Unity Walk November 11

SALISBURY, MD---The Lambda Society at Salisbury University hosts a Vigil for Non-Violence and Unity Walk 3 p.m. Monday, November 11, beginning in The Square.

Organizers seek to reaffirm campus support for the LGBTQ+ community and abhorrence for violence toward the Queer community, and create a space for healing and community building.

Scheduled speakers include Dr. Angela Freeman (Biological Sciences); Salisbury City Council President D’Shawn Doughty; Salisbury PFLAG President Mark Delancey; Tina Plottel (SU Libraries); SU President Carolyn Ringer Lepre; Zebadiah Hall, SU vice president for diversity, equity and inclusion; Dr. Clifton Griffin, dean of the Graduate School at SU; and M.S.W. student Sage Simone.

Following the vigil, organizers will lead a Unity Walk through campus. The campus community is invited.
