World Drum Experience Concert at SU April 19

SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University’s World Drum Ensemble performs its annual spring concert 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 19, in the Jackson Family Auditorium of Holloway Hall.
Directed by Ted Nichols, the program features Latin and African rhythms, and classic songs from the 1970s, ’80s and ’90s. The ensemble features Afro Beat, Latin, steel drums and the balafon, which is the African marimba. Performances include “Spinning Wheel” by Blood, Sweat and Tears, music from Chicago, the Doobie Brothers, Santana and Mozambique Pello el Afrokan, and a steel drum arrangement of “Three Little Birds” by Bob Marley.
Tickets are $10, $5 for seniors. Admission is free for SU faculty, staff and students, but tickets are required. Tickets are available through SU’s online box office.
