BSO Brings 'Music for Maryland' Tour to SU July 16

SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University’s Jackson Family Auditorium at Holloway Hall will be one of the stops on the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra’s (BSO) Music for Maryland Summer Tour.

The BSO chamber ensemble concert at SU is 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 16.

“The BSO's Music for Maryland tour is an innovative program that offers multiple opportunities on the Eastern Shore to experience the best in classical music,” said Dr. Maarten Pereboom, dean of SU’s Charles R. and Martha N. Fulton School of Liberal Arts. “We're excited to partner on this powerful initiative and to collaborate with our neighboring counties to bring this experience to our communities. This unique opportunity celebrates the joy and excitement of classical music broadly.”

Launched by the BSO in 2022, the tour is an initiative to reach every corner of Maryland over three years, transforming the joy of music into tangible experiences beyond the halls of the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall and Music Center at Strathmore. This statewide endeavor underscores the BSO's commitment to musical outreach and inclusivity.

The tour begins in Dorchester County on July 9, with additional performances in Somerset, Caroline, Talbot and Worcester Counties.

Admission is pay-what-you-you-wish, and the public is invited. Tickets are available through the BSO website
