Alert: Earthquake Felt on SU Campus

SALISBURY, MD---According to Salisbury University Police, an earthquake, centered in Virginia and measured at approximately 5.9 on the Richter scale, was felt on campus just before 2 p.m. today. National media are reporting that tremors extended along the East Coast, from New York City to North Carolina.
Campus officials are checking buildings for structural damage, but there has been no impact so far. Faculty, staff and students may experience limited cell phone service at this time. According to Ocean City Police, there are currently no water hazards.
