Annual SU Spring Honors Convocation is Friday, May 1

SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University honors some 2,000 outstanding scholars and student leaders at its annual Spring Honors Convocation 3:30 p.m. Friday, May 1, in Holloway Hall Auditorium.

Recognizing achievement in all areas of academic life, some 193 departmental awards, scholarships and other honors will be given. Along with the Board of Regents Outstanding Student Award winner, others acknowledged for their academic success include Dean’s List students, honor society inductees and Presidential Citizen Scholars.

The colorful ritual includes the procession of faculty in full regalia, the pomp and circumstance of the University mace and flag and music by the SU Chorale and Chamber Choir. The ceremony is a tradition which dates back more than half a century.
