Applicants Sought for New Lucy Tull Scholarship
SALISBURY, MD---The Richard A. Henson School of Science and Technology at Salisbury University is accepting applicants for the Lucy Tull Scholarship, recently endowed for residents of Wicomico, Worcester and Somerset counties pursing degrees in nursing and other medically related fields.
Scholarships may include full funding for tuition, room, board, books and fees and are renewable throughout the student’s undergraduate studies. Eligible students must demonstrate financial need using the federal financial aid application and enroll as full-time students at SU. In addition to freshman applicants, upper class transfer students from Wor-Wic Community College are eligible for consideration.
Students must major within the Henson School and pursue a career in nursing, biology-secondary education, chemistry-secondary education, clinical laboratory sciences, pre-professional health track or respiratory therapy. Priority will be given to those studying nursing.
Students applying must include a letter of introduction indicating the scholarship desired and a biographical essay. Documents submitted during the admissions process will be available to the Tull Scholarship Committee. The federal application for Financial Aid (FAFSA) should be filed soon after January 1 so results will be available by the requested scholarship application deadline.
Applications should be submitted to Dr. Michael E. Folkoff, interim dean of the Henson School of Science and Technology, Salisbury University, 1101 Camden Ave., Salisbury MD 21801. Applications may also be e-mailed to mefolkoff@salisbury.edu.
