Author, Professor Speaks on British and American Culture
SALISBURY, MD---Author and professor Dr. Laurence Raw speaks on “British and American Language, Literature and Culture in the Balkans” at 7 p.m. Monday, November 17, in Henson Science Hall Room 243 on the campus of Salisbury University.
A professor of humanities and letters at Baskent University in Ankara, Turkey, Raw has authored several books on European culture including Changing Class Attitudes (1994) and The Country and the City (1995). He has also served as a lecturer for The British Council in Ankara on such topics as media ethics and regulation in Britain.
Raw lectures at SU as part of the University’s fall Eastern European Cultural Series. His talk is sponsored by the Office of Cultural Affairs and Museum Programs. Admission is free and the public is cordially invited.
