Dr. Frank Shipper Earns Kelso Fellowship
SALISBURY, MD---Dr. Frank Shipper, chair of Salisbury University’s Management and Marketing Department, recently was awarded a Louis O. Kelso Fellowship from Rutgers University. He was one of only five faculty members selected nationally to receive this honor. The other recipients were from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the University of Pennsylvania, The University of Missouri and Bentley University.
The $12,500 grant from Rutgers’ School of Management and Labor Relations and supported by the Employee Ownership Foundation, will help fund Shipper’s research on shared entrepreneurship.
As a Kelso Fellow, he will participate in conferences sponsored by Rutgers and have the opportunity for collaborations with Rutgers faculty.
Shipper specializes in leadership, management and team development, and employee ownership, with an emphasis on 360-degree feedback. His work “Investigating the Sustainability of a Sustained 360 Process” was recently published in the “Best Paper Proceedings” of the Academy of Management’s 2009 meeting.
His 2009 Organizational Dynamics publication, “Shared Influence at W.L. Gore and Associates,” co-authored with faculty at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and the University of Iowa, has twice been among the “Hottest 25 Articles” on ScienceDirect.com.
