Education Test Scores Above State Average
SALISBURY, MD -- Salisbury University’s recent Title II report shows that SU students taking the Praxis II Teacher licensing exams achieved a 96 percent pass rate. Required under federal reporting guidelines, the Title II report revealed that SU students achieved a 100 percent pass rate and were ranked in the first quartile on the aggregate basic skills section; 98 percent pass rate and second quartile on the aggregate professional knowledge section; and 98 percent pass rate and second quartile on the aggregate other content area (career/technical, education, health education, etc.).
In comparison statewide pass rates were 96 percent on the basic skills section; 97 percent on professional knowledge; and 95 percent on academic content areas.
The primary purpose of the HEA Title II passing rate report is to provide institutions with a measurement indicator of the effectiveness of program improvements and teacher preparation programs.
