Employment Law, Labor Update Seminar Wednesday, April 12
SALISBURY, MD---The area of human resources management and employment law is constantly changing.
The Center for Professional Development at Salisbury University offers a one-day employment law and labor update seminar for human resource professionals 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, in the Worcester Room of the Commons.
The seminar includes up-to-date information regarding recent Supreme Court rulings and decisions involving the Fair Labor Standards Act, arbitration and Title IV/harassment. The seminar also features a look at what is on the Supreme Court docket for this term and an overview of the Family Medical Leave Act, including employee coverage, eligibility issues, medical problems regarding serious health conditions, notification requirements, medical certifications and recertification, how to control the use of intermittent leave, the Americans with Disabilities Act and workers’ compensation.
