Eye Movement Integration Workshop September 7
SALISBURY, MD -- The Salisbury University Office of Counseling Services sponsors the one-day workshop Eye Movement Integration (EMI) on Friday, September 7, in the Worcester Room of the Commons on the SU campus.
Approved for eight hours of continuing education, the workshop is directed by Ron Klein, a nationally recognized teacher of clinical hypnosis and brief solution-focused psychotherapy. Klein has 21 years of experience as a counselor and teacher and has provided training to more than 4,500 mental health and health care professionals.
Research conducted by Dr. Charles R. Figley of the University of Florida in 1994-95 showed that EMI was the best approach in the treatment of post-traumatic stress, phobias and anxiety. The workshop, consisting of lectures, demonstrations and exercises in small groups, will provide clinicians step-by-step instruction in how EMI can be effectively used in the treatment of clients.
The registration fee of $119, $129 at the door, includes all handout materials and refreshments. Contact Veronica Correa, SU Counseling Services, at 410-543-6070 for more information or a registration form.
