Fleagull Market Helps Students Clean Rooms May 12-16
SALISBURY, MD---Looking to get rid of an old chair or find a new lamp? The Salisbury University Student Government Association holds a “Fleagull Market” swap shop 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday-Friday, May 12-16, in Red Square.
Coinciding with the end of the semester, the event gives students moving out of SU’s residence halls a chance to give their used furniture a new home instead of throwing it out. Items accepted include chairs, lamps, desks, rugs and refrigerators.
Students are encouraged to bring their items to Red Square. SGA volunteers will staff receptacles near St. Martin, Wicomico and Choptank halls and Dogwood Village to assist with items that are too large for students to handle by themselves.
Students are invited to peruse items at the market and take what they want, free of charge. The SGA will donate any furniture not taken by the end of the market to local charitable organizations.
