Former CIA Analyst Ray McGovern Speaks October 12
class=""MsoNormal"">SALISBURY, MD---Former senior CIA analyst Ray McGovern speaks on the history of the United States military’s involvement in Iraq during two public sessions Wednesday, October 12, at Salisbury University.
class=""MsoNormal"">From 2-4 p.m., McGovern hosts an informal discussion in the Great Hall of Holloway Hall. At 7:30 p.m., he presents the talk “Iraq: How We Got In, How We Get Out” in the Great Hall. Question-and-answer sessions follow both events.
class=""MsoNormal"">A 27-year veteran of the CIA, McGovern’s duties as senior analyst included chairing national intelligence estimates and preparing the president’s daily brief. He conducted one-on-one briefings with the vice president, secretaries of state and defense, the Joint Chiefs of Staff chairman and the assistant to the president for national security affairs.
