Guerrieri Art Space Presents 'Unrequited' Through October 28
SALISBURY, MD---The Guerrieri University Center Art Space hosts the painting exhibit “Unrequited” by Salisbury University senior Dakota Saulsbury through Friday, October 28.
Saulsbury is pursuing his B.F.A. in painting. Growing up in Centreville, MD, art was a part of his life. It has become his main focus since starting college in 2012. In addition to concentrating primarily on painting, he also works in mixed media and ceramics.
“My recent body of work consists of reflections of a moment in time and subconscious thoughts in my everyday life,” he said. “Painting is an opportunity for me to express emotional and often very personal experiences. The goal I have in working in this method is to create artwork which is energetic with an element of surprise, leaving room for viewers’ interpretations. In the future, I plan to continue making work that tells a story and incorporates a strong psychological aspect.”
The Art Space is located in the Guerrieri Center’s second-floor concourse. Admission is free and the public is invited. For more information call 410-543-6247 or visit the Art Space website at https://www.salisbury.edu/guc/artspace.
