International Glass Artist to Exhibit Work

SALISBURY, MD -- Hot glass artist Daniel Marder exhibits his blown glass work at Rosemont College, Rosemont, PA, September 6-29. An opening reception on Sept. 12, from 4-7 p.m. in the Lawrence Hall Gallery includes a talk by the artist at 4:30 p.m.

"Body Language" is a collection of work featuring his series, "Tripod." Marder describes the show as a dialogue with the viewer using references to the body through form and gesture without the literal use of the figure.

Marder has shown work internationally for the last 20 years and examples of his work are cataloged in the Corning Museum and Creative Glass Center of America archives.

He teaches glass blowing and sculpture in the hot glass-working program he established at Salisbury University. He works with materials ranging from blown glass to original audio compositions, metal and electronic components.

Exhibit hours are Monday-Friday from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. and by appointment on weekends. Call Rosemont College at 610-526-2967 for more information or visit the SU Website at www.salisbury.edu.
