Learn to Start and Manage a Small Business at SU

SALISBURY, MD---“Starting and Managing a Small Business,” an eight-week extended version of “How to Start and Manage Your Own Business” offered by the Small Business Development Center, is starting April 21 and held every Wednesday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in Room 220 of the Power Professional Building at Salisbury University. The course allows additional time for questions and discussion with presenters. SBDC resource partners also provide another topic and session. Areas covered include start-up and operating procedures, ownership forms of operation, sources and methods of financing, record keeping, communication, debt collection, personnel, merchandising, and business continuity. Instructors discuss overcoming problems frequently encountered in running a small business. The course is co-sponsored by Maryland Capital Enterprises Inc., Salisbury University, SBDC, and Wor-Wic Community College. The cost is $93 and registration must be made through Wor-Wic’s Office of Community and Continuing Education by calling 410-334-2815.
