Peabody Harpist Performs April 8 at SSU"
SALISBURY, MD---Peabody harpist Melissa Tardiff performs Sunday, April 8, at 2 p.m. in the Great Hall of Holloway Hall at Salisbury State University as part of the Spring Musical Series.
Tardiff, a master’s student at the Peabody Conservatory of Music, is on the faculty of the Holton Arms School in Bethesda, MD.
She has performed with the Salisbury Symphony Orchestra, the Peabody Orchestras and the Alice Chalifoux Tribute Concert sponsored by the Washington, D.C. chapter of the American Harp Society.
After graduating from James M. Bennett High School, Tardiff continued her education at the Peabody Conservatory of Music of Johns Hopkins University. She graduated in 1999 with a Bachelor of Music in harp performance. The concert, free and open to the public, is sponsored by the Office of Cultural Affairs and Museum Programs and SSU’s Music Department. For information call 410-543-6271.
