Plum, Savich Conclude Spring Writers on the Shore Series May 6
SALISBURY, MD---Author Hilary Plum and poet Zach Savich read from their works in honor of the publication of this year’s edition of Salisbury University’s literary magazine, Scarab, 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, in the Worcester Room of the Commons.
Their presentation concludes SU’s spring Writers on the Shore series.
Plum is the author of the novel They Dragged Them Through the Streets. Her recent work has appeared in Seneca Review and Pleiades, among other publications. She is the fiction editor at Burnside Review and a book review editor for Kenyon Review. With Savich, she also edits Rescue Press’ Open Prose series.
Savich is the author of poetry collections including Full Catastrophe Living, Annulments, The Firestorm and Century Swept Brutal, as well as a book of prose, Events Film Cannot Withstand. His poems have appeared in journals including American Poetry Review, A Public Space and Jubilat. His awards have included the Iowa Poetry Prize, Colorado Prize for Poetry and Cleveland State University Poetry Center Open Award, among others. He teaches in the B.F.A. program for creative writing at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia.
