Poet Dave Smith Continues Spring Literary Festival April 1

SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University’s Writers-on-the-Shore Spring Literary Festival continues with a reading by poet Dave Smith 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, in the Montgomery Room at the Commons. Smith has published a dozen full-length volumes of poetry including The Wick of Memory: New and Selected Poems 1970-2000 (LSU, 2000) and The Roundhouse Voices: Selected and New Poems (Harper and Row, 1985). He has also authored a collection of short fiction, Southern Delights (1984), a novel, Onliness (1981), and a volume of essays, Local Assays (1985). He is the editor of The Essential Poe (1991) and The Pure Clear World (1982). His poems appear frequently in The New Yorker.
