'Ready, Set, Grow!' Small Business Outreach Workshop Set at SU April 7
Tuesday March 15, 2016
SALISBURY, MD---The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Salisbury University and Maryland Governor’s Office of Minority Affairs host a “Ready, Set, Grow!” small business outreach workshop 10 a.m.-noon Thursday, April 7, in the Wicomico Room of the Guerrieri University Center.
“Public procurement is very competitive,” said Jimmy Rhee, special secretary of the Governor’s Office of Minority Affairs. “We want to help small and micro businesses compete with confidence as they go after prime and subcontracting opportunities in the government sector.”
The workshop is designed for small businesses that are ready to compete and perform on government contracts. A unique element of the event is the inclusion of procurement officers discussing specific opportunities available at their agencies.
Buyers from the Maryland State Highway Administration, Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services, University of Maryland Eastern Shore and SU, among other invited panelists, will be on hand to discuss doing business with their agencies, and provide information about current and upcoming procurement opportunities.
Admission is free and the public is invited. For more information call Eduardo Hayden at 410-767-0910.
