SSO Affiliated Youth/Collegiate Symphony Concert Pictures

SALISBURY, MD -- The Salisbury Symphony Orchestra Affiliated Youth and Collegiate Symphony Orchestra performs its spring concert Thursday, April 18, at 7:30 p.m. in the Great Hall of Holloway Hall, Salisbury University.

The group, conducted by Dr. Thomas G. Elliot, ranges in age from 10 to 21 and members hail from points north as far away as Easton, MD, and south from the Eastern Shore of Virginia, as well as students from SU.

Works to be performed include "Second American Fold Rhapsody," "Fourth of July Polka," "Memory" from the musical Cats, and the "Great Gate of Kiev," featuring student conductor Kristina Powell.

The concert also showcases the newly-formed SU Chamber Orchestra performing works by Bizet, Haydn and Handel.

Bus transportation is being provided through the Children's Fund of the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore in memory of Shane and Aaron Stein.
