SU, 47 ABC Host Panel Discussion on Heroin, Opioid Abuse Wednesday, September 16
SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University’s Nursing and Social Work departments join 47 ABC to present a panel discussion on heroin and opioid abuse 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 16, in the Wicomico Room of the Guerrieri University Center.
A question-and-answer session follows from 11:30 a.m.-noon.
Panelists include Drs. Judy Jarosinski of the Nursing Department, Marvin Tossey of the Social Work Department; Karyl Rattay, director of the Delaware Division of Public Health; and Dr. Michael Finegan, representing the Maryland Governor's Task Force on Heroin and Opioid Abuse. Emily Lampa, 47 ABC senior anchor, hosts the discussion. The campus and greater community are invited.
The event is part of a week-long series of special reports on heroin and opioid abuse on 47 ABC’s 5:30 newscasts. The discussion will be filmed for broadcast at 6 p.m. Friday, September 18.
