SU Art Galleries Presents 'Office Aesthetics' January 16-February 14

SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University Art Galleries presents the exhibit “Office Aesthetics” by Travis Childers January 16-February 14 at its Downtown Campus, 118 N. Division St.

A reception is 6:30-8 p.m. Thursday, February 5.

Childers uses everyday materials as the starting point for his work. He explores the challenge of transforming commonplace items into new objects, keeping in mind the material’s original purpose while giving it new meaning, and making statements about the world and human nature.

The artist has exhibited throughout the mid-Atlantic at galleries in Maryland, Virginia, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C., as well as in London.

Gallery hours are noon-6 p.m. Wednesday-Friday, noon-4 p.m. Saturdays. Sponsored by SU Art Galleries, admission is free and the public is invited. SU Art Galleries programming is supported in part by the Maryland State Arts Council and the Salisbury Wicomico Arts Council.
