SU Art Galleries Presents 'Strange Pastures' May 20-June 18

SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University Art Galleries presents the exhibit “Strange Pastures” by Cheryl Hochberg from May 20-June 18 at its Downtown Campus.

A reception is 5-8 p.m. May 20 during the Salisbury Arts & Entertainment District’s monthly 3rd Friday celebration.

Hochberg paints realistically rendered animals, sometimes isolated and other times in environments, using them as a platform to explore qualities of familiarity and strangeness, as well as the knowable and the mysterious.

The artist has exhibited throughout the U.S. and in Mexico. Her work is part of public and corporate collections including Westinghouse Corp. and the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia.

Gallery hours are noon-5 p.m. Wednesday-Friday, noon-4 p.m. Saturdays. Sponsored by SU Art Galleries, admission is free and the public is invited.
