SU Holds Auditions for 'Camelot' November 26-27
SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University’s Departments of Theatre and Dance and Music host open auditions for Lerner and Lowe’s Camelot November 26-27.
On Monday, November 26, singing auditions are 7-9 p.m. in Fulton Hall, Room 130. Participants are asked to prepare 16 memorized bars of a song similar to the show and their preferred role.
On Tuesday, November 27, singing auditions continue 7-8:30 p.m., same location. Dance auditions are 8:30-9:30 p.m. in Fulton Hall, Room 203. No preparation is needed.
Callbacks are Wednesday, November 28, in the Black Box Theatre. From 7-9:30 p.m., selected actors may read for principles in the script. Other roles may be cast from earlier auditions.
A story of love and chivalry, Camelot tells the legend of the Knights of the Round Table and King Arthur’s quest for right, honor and justice. The musical chronicles the hopes and desires of the King, Guenevere and Sir Lancelot.
Rehearsals begin in February. Directed by Dr. T. Paul Pfeiffer, the production runs Friday-Sunday, March 1-3 and 8-10, in Holloway Hall Auditorium. Curtain is 8 p.m., 2 p.m. Sundays.
