SU PRESTO Students Perform in Recital December 15

treble clef Students taking lessons through Salisbury University’s PRESTO performing arts outreach program share their talents during recitals at 5 and 7 p.m. Tuesday, December 15, in the Great Hall of Holloway Hall.

The students range in age from 8-16 and in ability from beginner to advanced. They perform solo violin, piano, cello, percussion and voice works, among others. Selections include “Memory” from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Cats, Alexander Borodin’s “Polovtsian Dance,” Beethoven’s “Für Elise,” Scott Joplin’s “The Entertainer,” Friedrich Seitz’ “Violin Concerto No. 5” and “Méditation” from Jules Massenet’s Thaïs.

Students represent PRESTO instructors including Megan Centineo, Bethany Jubilee, Karen Niedfeldt, Luba Paskova, Burt Tabet, Bobbie Thamert, William Willis, Leah Wilson, Drs. Linda Cockey and Jeffrey Schoyen, and SU student instructors Aimee Faulkner and Alex Cooper.
