SU Presents 'Doubt' January 29-February 1
SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University’s Alpha Psi Omega national theatre honor society chapter presents John Patrick Shanley’s Pulitzer Prize-winning Doubt: A Parable Thursday-Sunday, January 29-February 1, in the Black Box Theatre of Fulton Hall.
Directed by John Posner, curtain is 8 p.m., 2 p.m. Sunday.
The Tony Award-winning play (which was adapted into an Academy Award-nominated film starring Philip Seymour Hoffman and Meryl Streep) follows two nuns as they investigate suspected misconduct by their superior, Father Flynn, at a New York parochial school in the 1960s.
“This is about searching for truth and the internal struggle behind it,” said Posner. “The gripping story pushes every character past the point of their comfort, into a world of doubt.”
The cast includes Keri Barr, Lacy Hudson, Eleni Lukaszczyk and Zach Williams.
Sponsored by the Theatre and Dance Department and Alpha Psi Omega, admission is $5. Tickets are available at the SU Box Office, Fulton Hall Room 100. SU ID holders receive one ticket free for all performances of this production. Doubt is recommended for mature audiences.
