SU Sponsors Bus Trip to 'Alcina'

SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University sponsors a bus trip to see the New York City Opera’s performance of Handel’s Alcina Sunday, September 21.

 

A bus leaves the Guerrieri University Center parking lot at 7 a.m. and departs from Lincoln Center at 5 p.m. Curtain is 1:30 p.m.

The operatic fantasy revolves around the sorceress Alcina, who lures heroes to her enchanted island, where she transforms them into rocks, trees and wild beasts. The latest gallant to catch her eye is not an easy conquest, thanks to his steadfast fiancée and their powerful love.

 

Community residents may make reservations starting Friday, September 12, at the Information Desk in Guerrieri University Center. Tickets are $75 each.
