SU Student Health Services Earns AAAHC Reaccreditation
SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University Student Health Services recently received reaccreditation from the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, Inc. (AAAHC).
AAAHC-accredited organizations meet national standards in areas including quality health care and patient safety and privacy.
“This reaccreditation serves as external validation that Student Health Services continues to provide the highest possible care for SU’s students,” said Victoria Lentz, Student Health Services director.
Health care organizations seeking AAAHC accreditation undergo an extensive self-assessment and on-site survey by AAAHC expert surveyors, including physicians, nurses and administrators. Founded in 1979, AAAHC is the leader in ambulatory health care accreditation, with more than 5,000 organizations accredited nationwide.
SU Student Health Services has been accredited since 2004. Its current accreditation will continue through 2017.
