SU Students Among Nation's Best in Business Strategy Game
SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University management and marketing students in the Franklin P. Perdue School of Business have been recognized among the nation’s best participating in this semester’s global Business Strategy Game simulation.
This fall, after eight weeks of competition, a team of students comprised of Scott Fendlay of Catonsville, MD; Bonnie McLean of Centreville, MD; and Alex Van Vulpen of Laurel, DE; ranked 38th overall (in the top 100) out of some 5,400 virtual businesses in the competition. Overseen by Dr. Richard Hoffman of the Management and Marketing Department, the team also was recognized for its overall game-to-date score.
This semester’s scenario simulates competition and marketing in the athletic shoe industry. The goal: Sharpen students’ business and management skills while strengthening their competitive edge. More than 280 colleges and universities currently host teams.
