SU's ESRGC Celebrates GIS Day November 15

SALISBURY, MD---The Eastern Shore Regional GIS Cooperative (ESRGC) at Salisbury University celebrates Global Information Systems (GIS) Day 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, November 15, outside the Commons.

ESRGC staff and SU geography and geosciences students showcase their latest projects. Those attending may use maps and interactive websites to better understand how local organizations are using GIS and related technology to solve real-world problems. A GIS Day-themed dessert will be served.

GIS Day is observed annually during the National Geographic Society’s Geography Awareness Week.
