SU's Shipper Presents at Oxford Conference
SALISBURY, MD---Dr. Frank Shipper of Salisbury University’s Management and Marketing Department in the Franklin P. Perdue School of Business recently presented at one of the world’s most prestigious institutions of higher learning.
Shipper was a guest speaker on employee ownership at the Conference on Business and Poverty, held at the University of Oxford in England, in affiliation with The Wheatley Institution of Brigham Young University. His presentation earned praise from attendees, according to conference coordinator John Hoffmire of Oxford’s Saïd Business School.
Additional presenters at the conference included representatives from Johnson & Johnson, UBS and Shell Oil, among other corporate and academic leaders.
Shipper has extensively researched employee ownership and its role in creating vibrant enterprises and economies. His research has been referenced by national media, including MSNBC and The Wall Street Journal, and featured on the Aspen Institute’s CasePlace website.
He has received several grants and awards to continue his work, including Rutgers University’s prestigious Kevin E. Ruble Fellowship. He also was the lead author of the 2014 book Shared Entrepreneurship: A Path to Engaged Employee Ownership.
