SALISBURY, MD---The Salisbury Youth Orchestra hosts its annual winter concert 7:30 p.m. Thursday, December 18, in Salisbury University’s Holloway Hall Auditorium.
The orchestra performs “Mars,” an impassioned piece from Gustav Holst’s famous Planets Suite, followed by a selection of familiar holiday favorites.
The Youth Orchestra is conducted Dr. Jeffrey Schoyen, assistant professor of music at SU. It is a full orchestra with strings, woodwinds, brass and percussion, and its members range from fourth-graders to high school seniors.
