Sea Gull Century Donates $6K to Habitat for Humanity
SALISBURY, MD---In addition to enjoying the pleasures of the ride, many cyclists in Salisbury University’s Sea Gull Century also pedal for charity.
Event organizers from the SU Foundation, Inc. recently donated $6,093.96 to Habitat for Humanity of Wicomico County from the 2012 Century. Contributions have topped $120,000 over the years.
“We are grateful for the support from the Century,” said Joan H. Mulvanny, executive director of Habitat for Humanity of Wicomico County. “Riders who come from across the U.S. are helping make the American dream of homeownership possible for families right here in our area. The University and its students have a longstanding commitment to Habitat, providing funds to build homes and also helping with construction.”
