Seniors To Demonstrate Athleticism at Senior Games
SALISBURY, MD---The 4th annual Eastern Shore Senior Games are Thursday-Saturday, April 24-26. Coordinated by the Salisbury University Department of Physical Education, the games are open to men and women age 50 and over and the registration deadline is Friday, March 28.
Participants compete in a variety of athletic events, both individual and team. Last year more than 400 senior athletes took part. Events include aquatics, archery, badminton, billiards, bowling, cycling, floor and foul basketball shooting, golf, handball, horseshoes, racquetball, softball and football throw, table tennis, tennis, and track and field. Team events include line dancing, softball and volleyball.
A shotgun start kicks off the golf tournament at noon on Thursday, April 24, at Deer Run Golf Course and an opening reception for all participants is Friday, April 25, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. in the Wicomico Room of the Guerrieri University Center.
