Student Artists Present 'Umwelt: The First and Nearest World' at SU Downtown Gallery November 18-December 16

SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University student artists showcase their works during the exhibit “Umwelt: The First and Nearest World” November 18-December 16 at the SU Art Galleries Downtown Campus.
A reception is 5-8 p.m. November 18 during the Salisbury Arts & Entertainment District’s monthly 3rd Friday celebration.
The exhibit includes painting, ceramics, new music and sculpture installations from students Claire Dupree, Patricia Rose, Heidi Rottman, Dakota Saulsbury, and curator and gallery assistant Christy Cox.
“Umwelt” is an organism’s model of its specific surrounding world, formed through communication, surrounding space and experience. Through the exhibit, the students transform their own spaces to reflect a specific experience for viewers.
Sponsored by SU Art Galleries, admission is free and the public is invited. The gallery is open by appointment.
