Take Our Daughter to Work Day Breakfast April 26"  

SALISBURY, MD---On Thursday, April 26, middle and high school girls and their parents, or other interested adults, are invited to attend “Take Our Daughters to Work® Day” breakfast symposium from 7:30-9 a.m. in the Bistro Room of the Commons at Salisbury State University.  The Symposium, hosted by the Wicomico Commission for Women and the Salisbury Junior Service League in conjunction with the Small Business Development Center, features prominent women in the community discussing their careers and how they achieved success in the working world. 

Speakers for the Symposium include Dr. Janet Dudley-Eshbach, president of SSU; Connie Marvel, Esquire, the district public defender for the Lower Eastern Shore; Dr. Valentina Ruzecki, a local pediatrician; and the Honorable Lavonzella Siggers, president of the Salisbury City Council; and Cheryl Tolbert, Salisbury Junior Service League president, moderator.

The Wicomico County Board of Education recognizes attendance at the Symposium as an excused lateness for those students returning to school.  Attendance verification forms will be distributed to all students at the event.

The cost for the Symposium, which includes breakfast, is $7.50 per person for advance registrations, by April 20, and $8 at the door.  Limited scholarships are available.  Registration forms are available in the offices at Wicomico County middle and high schools or by calling Jean S.
