Teague Continues SU Writers on the Shore Series November 4
SALISBURY, MD---Poet Alexandra Teague concludes Salisbury University’s fall Writers on the Shore series with a reading from her works at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 4, in the Worcester Room of the Commons.
Teague is the author of two books of poetry. The first, The Wise and Foolish Builders, centers on the story of Sarah Winchester, Victorian heiress to the Winchester Rifle fortune, and the large, strange, supposedly haunted house she had built in San Jose, CA.
The second, Mortal Geography, is the winner of Persea Books’ 2009 Lexi Rudnitsky Prize and the 2010 California Book Award for Poetry.
An assistant professor of poetry at the University of Idaho and editor for Broadsided Press, Teague has earned the Stegner Fellowship, a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship and the 2014 Missouri Review Editors’ Prize.
