Voting Opens for 'Favorite Vegan-Friendly College' Contest
SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University could become the nation’s “Favorite Vegan-Friendly College.”
SU is competing for the title against 15 other campuses in the “small school” category, including Brown University and the University of North Carolina-Asheville. Round 1 voting ends 5 p.m. Wednesday, February 12.
While SU is dubbed a “newcomer” to the competition, the contest description notes that the “Sea Gulls soar over the competition, with student favorites such as vegan pad Thai, vegan quinoa chili, vegan meatballs and marinara, and vegan jambalaya.”
All nominees were selected based on their “A” grade in a Vegan Report Card that surveyed thousands of colleges and universities across the country.
