'Washington Post' Captures SU Students at National Earth Day Celebration
SALISBURY, MD---Environmentally conscientious Salisbury University students recently attended national Earth Day festivities on the Mall in Washington, D.C., where they listened to live concerts by Los Lobos, moe. and the Flaming Lips.
While there, they also heard from government officials including Labor Secretary Hilda Solis, who talked about creating green jobs, and were captured on pixels for a five-column photo in The Washington Post:

The SU Student Government Association held its own Earth Day celebration, featuring tie-dyed T-shirts, a popular “dirty foot” contest to promote water conservation, and activities and giveaways at booths sponsored by some 30 student and community organizations.
