Advanced Robotic Patients
The Simulation Center uses the most advanced robotic patient technology available for immersive health professional learning.
Our students learn in near-real-world clinical settings where they assess and treat a variety of robotic patients that replicate real-world clinical scenarios. This offers our learners the opportunity to experience and respond to various clinical situations as they would in actual practice. For example, students can assess the robotic patient’s heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation levels. They can evaluate and treat airway problems, and practice procedures such as CPR, bag-mask ventilation, intubation, and defibrillation.
Advanced Robotic Patients
In the video above, students are caring for a post-operative robotic pediatric patient immediately after an open reduction and internal fixation of a fractured arm. Students will complete they patient assessment, deliver indicated post-op care, administer pain management medications, and care for a new cast.
