Virtual Anatomy Learning Lab
The Simulation Center has the most technologically advanced visualization system for College of Health and Human Services students and community partner learners to conduct virtual cadaver dissections.
Reconstructed from people who donated their bodies for health sciences education, the full-size digitized cadavers on five virtual anatomy tables exhibit a similar level of anatomical detail and richness that can only be found in real cadavers.
Learners master important concepts of normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology by manipulating the virtual cadaver on a three-dimensional interactive, life-sized touchscreen. In addition to anatomical structures, learners can also simulate functional responses, including cardiac motions and nerve pathways.
Open House Hours
The Virtual Anatomy Learning Lab offers open house hours for students to utilize the virtual anatomy tables as additional learning resources. Generally, open house hours run on Mondays from 8am-12pm, and Wednesdays from 8am-4pm. These times revolve around scheduled class utilization, University holidays and breaks. During these times, students are able to drop-in to utilize the tables. Depending on attendance, students may have to share tables during these hours. Staff will be available to assist as needed.
If you would like to reserve a table, please email simcenter@salisbury.edu. Table reservations can be made during available open house hours.
