Lyric Soprano, MarthaRandall, Conducts Voice Master Class November 20

SALISBURY, MD--Lyric soprano Martha Randall, a member of the University of Maryland College Park’s School of Music faculty, teaches a Voice Master Class on Saturday, November 20, at Salisbury State University. Her presentation is sponsored by the SSU’s Charles R. and Martha N. Fulton School of Liberal Arts Visiting Speakers Fund.

The workshop, free and open to the public, is from 1-3 p.m. in Fulton Hall Room 112. She will lecture for a half-hour, then advise performing students for an hour and respond to questions in the remaining time. Six participants will be chosen from those who apply for the master class.

Randall teaches voice, vocal pedagogy and vocal literature at the graduate level at the University of Maryland. Her students are frequent winners of awards in vocal competitions and have sung with the Washington Opera Chorus and the Metropolitan Opera Chorus.

As a soloist, she has performed at the Kennedy Center, Constitution Hall and the Phillips Gallery and with the National Symphony Orchestra, the Washington Bach Consort, the Washington Civic Opera, the Opera Theater of Northern Virginia and the Kansas City Philharmonic.
