Education Faculty at International Reading Association Conference

SALISBURY, MD--Dr. Patricia O. Richards, associate professor, and Dr. John T. Wolinski, professor, both in the Salisbury State University Education Department, made a presentation at the 44th annual convention of the International Reading Association (IRA) in San Diego, CA, recently. The convention, devoted to reading and related language arts instruction at all levels, is the largest of its kind in the world.

Richards and Wolinski presented "The Balancing Act: Juggling Theory, Practice, and Politics in Preserve Teacher Language Arts Methods Courses." Richards and Wolinski are members of the IRA Special Interest Group, Organization of Teacher Educators in Reading (OTER), and will primarily be working with other teacher educators, although their session is open to all convention attendees.
