Clara Small Inducted into Consortium of Doctors Ltd

SALISBURY, MD--Dr. Clara L. Small, associate professor of history in the Charles R. and Martha N. Fulton School of Liberal Arts at Salisbury State University, was recently inducted into the Consortium of Doctors, Ltd. (COD) at the ninth annual meeting held in Hampton, VA, recently. Small was one of 10 individuals initiated into the Consortium.

"I'm honored to be part of what is considered to be the most prestigious group of women organized in the world," said Small. Founded in 1991 by Dr. Abigail Jordan, COD consists solely of females within academia. Criteria for membership includes an earned doctorate degree from a nationally accredited institution and the verification of contributions made beyond the realm of the ordinary to enhance the lives of mankind.

Members are dedicated to the ideal of sustaining first class citizenship for all disenfranchised Americans and to enhance their lives and the lives of future generations. A major focus of COD members is the plight of young African-Americans who have qualified for the job market and yet are unemployed and underemployed.
