Judd Bankert Presentation 'Woodrow Wilson and the End of the Great War' at SU

Woodrow WilsonSALISBURY, MD---In January 1918, President Woodrow Wilson called for a diplomatic end to World War I, issuing his famous “Fourteen Points,” which outlined a policy of free trade, open agreements, democracy and self-determination upon the war’s end.

Wilson reenactor Judd Bankert revisits the 28th president’s contributions to the conflict’s conclusion that year during his presentation “Woodrow Wilson and the End of the Great War” 6 p.m. Thursday, October 18, in Salisbury University’s Guerrieri Academic Commons Assembly Hall.

Bankert has portrayed the president as part of the Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library and Birthplace’s living history program and through other interpretive initiatives since 2000. His unique programs draw from Wilson’s writings and speeches on file at the museum, in Staunton, VA.

Commemorating the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I, his presentation is followed by a question-and-answer session in and out of character.

Sponsored by the Edward H. Nabb Research Center for Delmarva History and Culture, with support from the History Department and Fulton School of Liberal Arts Public Humanities Program, admission is free and the public is invited.
