35th Eastern Shore High School Mathematics Competition Winners Announced
SALISBURY, MD---Nineteen teams recently competed in the Salisbury University Mathematics and Computer Science Department’s 35th annual Eastern Shore High School Mathematics Competition, sponsored by the Klein G. and Mary Lee Leister Foundation and by Delmarva Power, an Exelon Company.
Worcester Preparatory School captured first place. Members included Matt Durkin, Max Huber, Eli Prushansky and Coach Linda Bragg.
Colonel Richardson High School placed second, with team members Sam Arnold, Thomas Cheezum and Ian Leverage, and Coach Kevin Corwin. James M. Bennett High School placed third, with team members Marvin Li, Alexander Patterson and Michael Avanessian, and Coach Rachel Ludke Jones.
For the second consecutive year, Li placed first in the individual competition. Durkin placed second, and Grayson Wolf of Stephen Decatur High School placed third.
